My name is Gerik Bensing. From May 21st through August 4th, 2013 I was Traveling on Kindness. I left my home and traveled to wherever the path took me. I had a backpack, my ID, and my passport. Everything else I got on the road.

I left my home with no money, and I came back home with no money. I had done some traveling in the past, but with this being my last summer before I graduated college and not having the money to travel in a traditional fashion, I wanted to travel in a nontraditional way – with nothing but good will getting me from day to day.

This trip wass all about getting out of my comfort zone and putting my full trust in others. I hope through the experiences I share here, you too will gain an appreciation for just how kind others really are.
